Assoc. Prof. Louise Starkey
Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand

Dr. Louise Starkey currently works as Associate Dean (Academic) at the Faculty of Education, Te Herenga Waka, Victoria University of Wellington. Louise is interested in the future of education. She is interested in complexity theory, educational policy, and practice associated with teaching and learning in the digital age. Her main research includes policy and practice in the schooling and university sectors.


 



Prof. Jun Xiao
Shanghai Engineering Research Center for Open Distance Education
Shanghai Open University, China

Prof. Jun Xiao oversees the operation of Shanghai Engineering Research Center of Open Distance Education, Shanghai Open University. His research interests lie in hybrid learning spaces, learning analytics, learner persona, augmented reality, artificial intelligence in edaucation. He is a Member of China E-learning Technology Standardization Committee, and has undertaken and participated in a dozen of national and provincial level projects. Prof. Xiao has obtained awards for more than 10 scientific research works, and has published over 100 books, articles and reports in the areas of education technology, lifelong learning, and open distance education. He has made substantial contributions to the design of many online and smart learning environments in Shanghai, such as the Shanghai Learning Network, Shanghai Education Resource Center and Mobile MOOC for Teacher Professional Development, and his research findings have effectively informed the design of lifelong learning public service platform for Shanghai citizens. He is now responsible for the construction of the Smart Learning Center of Shanghai Open University, a project which provides an online-merge-online (OMO) smart learning environment for seamless learning.




Assoc. Prof. Si Zhang
Central China Normal University, China

Dr. Si Zhang is an Associate Professor of Central China Normal University in the School of Educational Information Technology. Dr Zhang has 2 years of postdoc experience in Nanyang Technological University (NTU) from 2018-2019. He is also a member of the expert group of intelligent professional development platform application pilot work of the Education Technology and Resource Development Center of the Ministry of Education. In recent years, he is mainly focusing on the application of artificial intelligence in education, learning analytics, and teacher professional development. He has presided over more than 10 national and provincial scientific research projects, and has published over 60 peer-reviewed papers and applied for 6 invention patents.
